In 2001, Davood Davoodi and Peter Marzullo established MYD Consulting Engineers. From humble beginnings with the two engineers and a CAD drafter, the firm has grown steadily into a trusted name in engineering. With over 15 specialist staff and clients across Australia, today MYD brings more than 20 years of proven experience to the drawing board, transforming projects through high-quality, specialist relationships to realise tomorrow.

  • Delivering integrity in infrastructure, Davood is a dedicated engineer with more than 35 years experience in both civil and structural capacities. Building his career foundations in Scandinavia, Davood completed his Masters in structural engineering in Finland and spent six years working as a structural engineer on specialist projects from bridges to buildings to stormwater structures. Moving to Australia in 1994, Davood worked alongside Peter Marzullo at Miller Milston Ferris Consulting Engineers, where the two would go on to form MYD seven years later. Davood’s experience in the design and documentation of multi-storey buildings, including both mixed residential commercial, residential, and institutional buildings such as Sutherland and Concord Hospitals, delivers clients the breadth and depth of experience to succeed at scale. Davood also has a detailed understanding of complex facade structures, dynamic analysis, seismic analysis and design, as well as finite element applications. His vast experience and specialist interest in structural steel building frames has delivered many successful projects, including an 18-storey structure utilising the AAC flooring system. Today, Davood’s specialist relationships support MYD’s clients and team, bringing project possibilities to life, so clients can realise tomorrow.

  • Helping clients realise tomorrow since 1994, Peter is a passionate engineer with more than 25 years of experience. Establishing MYD Consulting Engineers with Davood Davoodi in 2001, Peter’s expertise in the design, documentation, and delivery of projects delivers a meaningful difference to meet the unique needs of clients across the country. In his early career, Peter paved his way forward as a structural engineer with Miller Milston Ferris Consulting Engineers and then as a Design Engineer with CSR Hebel. He has extensive experience working with Hebel and designing Hebel residences and reinforced panels for multi-storey residential and commercial buildings across Australia. He is also skilled in working with structural steel, as well timber, aluminium, and glass structures. Delivering integrity in infrastructure, Peter has a specialist interest in fatigue analysis and the design of wind sensitive structures. Delivering through detail, his curious approach to problem solving has seen his work commissioned by corporations such as Telstra, to audit and review their extensive infrastructure. Peter is proud to lead the team at MYD alongside Davood, helping make MYD a great place to work, and great people to work with.
